Where to Apply for a Xiamen Police Certificate?<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

After residing in Xiamen for more than 180 days, foreign nations can obtain a Xiamen Police Certificate from the Exit-entry Administration Bureau of the Public Security Bureau (PSB). This certificate is typically used when applying for a visa or residency in another country.<\/p>

Please note: <\/strong>Foreign nationals do not need an appointment to apply for this certificate. STEP 1. Submit required documents to Exit-Entry Administration Office of Xiamen Municipal Public Security Bureau for review.Then the PSB will issue the Xiamen Non-Criminal Record.
STEP 2.  Submit Xiamen of China Police Clearance Certificate to Notary Public Office.

1. Original current and previous passports.<\/strong>

You will be required to bring the original passports to the Public Security Bureau. Or you may authorize a third party to present in person with your original passports to make applications where written consent applies.

2. Scanned copy of the Registration Form(s) of Temporary Residence.<\/strong>

The Registration Form of Temporary Residence is the form that you filled upon your arrival in China within 24 hours.\u00a0

3. Scanned copy of work permit or scan copy of original degree\/diploma.( Optional)<\/strong>

4.The original authorization apostilled by Ministry of foreign affairs or legalized by Chinese Embassy\/Consulate.(<\/strong> Should you need someone to apply on your behalf.)<\/strong>

Since November 7, 2023, China has officially been part of the Hague Convention, and the apostille system has also come into effect in China.

Apostille and Legalization are two certification types. Which one you need depends on the country where the original document is issued.

\u2022 Apostille : for documents issued in member countries of the Hague.

The Xiamen Police Certificate is only available in hard copy, not electronically.<\/strong> On the bottom left corner of the certificate, there is a two-dimensional code(QR code) provided by the Public Security Bureau. You may check the authenticity of the police certificate by scanning the two- dimensional code.<\/p>

    If you need to use a Xiamen Police Certificate abroad, you shall make an application to Notary Public Office in China to obtain a notarial certificate of good conduct. The notarial certificate of clearance will include following information:<\/p>
