For Chinese companies engaged in international trade or export, if their products require to be sold in EU countries, the CE marking is important. Before obtaining the CE marking, companies must obtain a CE certificate. CE Certificate is an official certificate that indicates products’ compliance with the applicable regulations and standards of the European Economic Area (EEA), authorizing its placement on the European market.

A business license is a legal certification issued by China’s market regulatory authorities, permitting a company to conduct specified commercial activities within approved operational scopes. For Chinese companies engaging in international business transactions or export operations, CCPIT certification of the business license is typically required for the document to be recognized by foreign authorities.

Therefore, for documents issued in China to be valid in most Hague Convention countries, only an Apostille certificate is now required.

A Marriage Certificate is an official document issued by China’s Civil Affairs Bureau (民政局) that legally certifies a marital union between two individuals. A Marriage Certificate can typically be used as proof of marriage for overseas marriage registration, immigration applications, spouse visa applications, etc. If it is to be used in a country outside China, the Marriage Certificate must be translated and notarized by a China notary public before it can be recognized as legitimate in other countries.

A Notarial Birth Certificate is an official document issued by a notary office to certify an individual’s birth facts upon their application in accordance with the law. Birth certificates are often required for visa, immigration, school registration, property purchases and other legal purposes. If it is used overseas, the Birth Certificate must be notarized and may also require either an Apostille or Legalization depending on the destination country’s requirements.

A death certificate in China is an official document issued by a hospital or judicial authority indicating the cause, date and place of a person’s death. Death certificates are usually used to dispose of the deceased’s estate or as auxiliary materials for notarizing the birth certificates of the deceased’s children.If it is to be used in a country other than China, the Death Certificate must be notarized before it can be recognized as legitimate in other countries.
